Family Hike July 24th to Lake Mary in Brighton.

My mom took this picture. I do not cut people’s heads off.
(front: Isaac, Pascal, Sydney, Cedric. Back: Tyler, Megan)

The Days of ’47 Children’s Parade. The kids were asked to dress up as what they want to be when they grow up. Sydney dressed up as an artist and Isaac went as a baseball player.

Tyler and I on our hike with my mom to Dog Lake.

    Aunt Michelle is everyone’s favorite!

Boys climb trees. It’s what they do. Below is my nephew “flying” out of this tree. I just thought it was a way cool picture! Go Pascal!

  • Guns are good. Guns are great. We had fun near the Great Salt Lake. (That rhyme is for free – thank you very much).

Isaac shooting with the help of his uncle Keith.  My pesky brother-in-law was an excellent teacher. Somehow I didn’t end up with a picture of Sydney shooting a gun. She only wanted to shoot ONE bullet but once that cute little girl got her finger on the trigger she went crazy!

    I’m a pro! Or something…
  • Zion National Park

Everyone who’s been to the canyons has pictures like these. Why should we be the exception?

Wow! Zion was awesome. You should go.
  • Grand Canyon

After about 3 days and 37 hours of driving we made it to the Grand Canyon.

We were lucky to see some California Condors.

This spider was in the men’s bathroom on one of the trails. Just thought we should warn you if you are planning a trip to the Grand Canyon.

There is actually very good cell phone reception (unless you hike down into the canyon).

We forgot to pack jackets so we had to stop at a Wal-mart in Flagstaff, AZ. Sydney ended up with this goofy red sweater. Liz ended up with a PINK jacket. Those were the pickins for cold weather gear in June. Go figure. We’re thankful we got them because it was cool all day at the Grand Canyon.

  • Utah or Bust

    Roadtrip! Utah, here we come!

    • 2 kids + 40 hours driving = crazy parents

We should arrive in Sandy, UT on June 19th and will be there until July 27th. If you want to get together while we’re there, let me know!

I will definitely update the blog with pictures from the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park and our wild crazy adventures in the great state of Utah.

  • Toothfairy $$$

I knew this morning that Sydney was going to have two teeth extracted at the dentist’s office (Yikes!) so I raided my money stash for toothfairy money. Nothing.

Later as I was getting dressed I noticed something was in the pocket of my capri pants. Two wadded up and very clean (cause they went through the washer) dollar bills! I don’t think I can rightfully chalk this coincidence up to a tithing blessing but I’ll take it.

  • Mother’s Day 2009

    From Sydney:

    From Isaac:

  • Custard Layer Cake

I made this all from scratch! It was so much work that next time I want some I will just ask Peter to make it.
  • Shuttle Launch – Yes, Another One.

The kids and I got to go see the last shuttle launch up close while Peter was in London. The coolest thing about being closer was being able to feel it shaking the ground like an earthquake.

  • Yes, you can take my picture. I have make-up on.

Isaac and I at “Moms and Muffins” preschool day.

Aunt Debbie, Nancy and I. At my ward’s Relief Society Birthday dinner.

Me with some sisters in my stake. I am the shortest one.
