The votes are in and it is almost unanimous. This is the kind of picture YOU wanted to see Peter in:
Go away and give us some privacy.
OK, if you’re not going to go away this is what you’re going to see…
Count the candles. I didn’t need a birthday cake – I shared my special day with my own personal carton of Haagan Daaz. Also, there was not enough candles for 29 plus 4 for our combined ages (I could have stuck a bunch of toothpicks in but I didn’t want to pull them all out).
Don’t you love eating a piece of birthday cake after some enthusiastic child has blown saliva all over it?
Isaac got some new Hot Wheels and a Triple Stunt Track. We have been trying for a while to set it up. It is more complicated … Read the rest
Well, the people have been heard. You voted to see a picture of me cooking dinner, and here you go! I am modeling my new apron that I made this month along with a hair bow that Sydney made for my birthday.
The dinner menu is Kraft macaroni and cheese and peas (this is what Isaac requested for his birthday dinner).
Yes, I am a bad parent and I admit it. I frequently (like every day) let my son jump and do flips on the couch. But how often do you get a picture like this? (Sydney is watching the episode of I Love Lucy where Lucy and Ethel steal the cement block with John Wayne’s footprints and signature that is in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theater).
I’m singing the I Love Lucy theme song. Join in any time.
Every one should watch I Love Lucy. It’s a happy show.
Last week I reported that Isaac’s swim class had no kids … Read the rest
Sydney is the super-duper underwater swimmer in her class. She had lots of fun swimming to the bottom of the pool to grab a diving stick. That girl just loves her goggles!
Isaac with his friend Dayton getting ready for swim lessons. His teacher is very lucky to have a class of five pre-school age kids who all like the water!
Here is Isaac kicking in the water. He has discovered the trick of taking water into his mouth and spitting it in my face when I am helping him swim at the pool. Who teaches kids these tricks?

On Saturday we went to Sea World – it was hot and crowded; but to be fair, we knew it would be that way before we left. We had a nice time and saw a couple of shows we had not seen before. Most of the pictures from Sea World were pretty bad…
As for the poll from last week I guess that Peter is going to be a bald, grumpy, old mission president…I bet that will be effective!
So here’s how I made the chore charts. I simply printed on an 8 1/2 X 11 piece of card stock my kids names (i.e. Sydney’s Chore Chart). I found some clip art and enlarged it to the correct size for chore pockets. I printed up pictures of chores for Isaac and just printed Sydney’s chores in words. I cut everything out, got them laminated, and cut them out again. Then with invisible thread I sewed the pockets onto the chart. For Isaac’s chart I made interchangeable … Read the rest
Isaac and his friend Dylan at the ward Memorial Day picnic. They sat and banged their heads against the wall. Go figure.
Isaac wearing his new t-shirt
Sydney wearing her new t-shirt. I wanted one too but the only one’s for adults were stupid.
Here is the pink jacket I finished making that goes with Syd’s white dress. I only have one more dress to finish sewing for her; thankfully I already have it cut out.
Sorry folks, but I just cannot get a sweet and normal picture of Isaac. He does not send his regards and he would rather … Read the rest
